Amō's Sapotawan one of the "Best Books" 2022
Every year, Debbie Reese and Jean Mendoza publish a "Best Books" list on their blog "American Indians in Children's Literature." The Six Seasons team is excited to see that this year's list includes Amō's Sapotawan in the category "Picture Books." Reese and Mendoza's bog is one of the most influential resources for Indigenous children's literature on Turtle Island. On the blog, Reese and Mendoza publish critical analyses of books containing representations of Indigenous people for young readers. They also make book recommendations based on ethical and accurate representations.
